Did you review signer's name on the ID before you drafted the documents to make sure they match?
• The ID can have more information than the documents (i.e., have a middle name on the ID but no middle name on the documents).
• If the ID has less information than the documents (i.e., the ID has no middle name but the documents have a middle name), that ID will not be acceptable for notarization on the day of the signing and the signer will have to provide one or two credible witnesses present on the day of the signing.
• In some states, the credible witness needs to be personally known to the signer(s).
